Ward CNC were delighted to host engineers of the future yesterday as they had the privilege of welcoming Michael and Joe to both join us for a day’s work experience and getting a first-hand look of what engineering is like on the shop floor as well as the various departments within the organisation.
The day consisted of working with Ward CNC’s Head of Used Machinery – Andrew Elliott on several important current projects. These included the verification of the dimensional accuracy of a constructed foundation for a new Hyundai-Wia heavy duty vertical turning and milling centre at a local Tier-1 High Class Engineering Contractor operating in the UK Defence and Oil and Gas supply chain, the qualification and suitability of a safety guarding enclosure for a Large multi axis CNC borer and verifying the quality of preparation and signing off a machine for export to Indonesia! All in all a great introduction to world of CNC machine tools.
