Hartford Company Introduction

Founded in 1965, Hartford (She Hong Industrial Co. Ltd), is a specialist manufacturer of high technology CNC metalworking machine tools located in Taichung City - Taiwan. The company currently employs over 430 people and supplies its products to over 67 countries worldwide.

Machine tools manufactured by Hartford include 5-face Double Column Machining Centres with Automatic Head Changing System, Horizontal Boring & Milling Machines, Double Column Vertical Machining Centres, Open Fronted Vertical Machining Centres & Horizontal Machining Centres, which are supplied to many customers in the Automotive, Electronics, Medical, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Resource and energy and general productions industries.

In excess of 20,000 machines have been manufactured and supplied by Hartford in the last 45 Years with current production at approximately 1,400 machines per year.

During 2008 Hartford has made significant investments in its manufacturing facilities with the addition of the 35,000 m2 ‘Factory 3' bringing its total area to 100,000 m2.

Hartford has invested heavily in its Research and Development programs, which is benefiting its customers through an ever improving product range portfolio with new and improved machine models being introduced on a regular basis. The latest development from Hartford includes the 5VM-60RT 5-Axis Moving Column machining centres with 700, 600 & 500 mm Axis travels, Infinity head changing double column vertical/5-Face machining centres and the new PBM-135A CNC Horizontal boring and milling machine.
